Founder & Head of Football Development
With over 20 years of experience in elite football development, Dave Wright brings an unparalleled depth of knowledge to Future Success Sports. As the former Academy Recruitment Manager at Brighton & Hove Albion FC (2019-2024), Dave played a pivotal role in identifying and nurturing top young talent, shaping the club’s next generation of stars. Prior to that, he served as Head of Academy Technical Performance & Recruitment at Portsmouth FC, further cementing his reputation as a leader in youth development.
Dave’s expertise extends across the Premier League and EFL, having worked as an Academy Director and Manager at Stoke City FC for over six years, where he oversaw coaching programs and player progression pathways. He has also contributed to academy auditing with Double PASS, helping clubs refine their structures to meet elite performance standards.
Holding a PG Dip in Football Academy Management and degrees in Educational Studies and Sports & Exercise Science, Dave combines technical excellence with a deep understanding of player development. His vast experience in recruitment, coaching, and performance analysis makes him an invaluable mentor, ensuring that every player at Future Success Sports receives world-class training tailored to their potential.
